Heidi Murkoff is the co-author of the country's leading pregnancy and childcare series, What To Expect, which has over 16 million copies in print, and a contributing editor to Parenting Magazine.
Heidi "conceived" the idea for What To Expect When You're Expecting during her first pregnancy, when the volumes then to be found on bookshelves only added to her fears and worries. She was determined to produce a book that would not only hold an expectant mother's hand month-by-month, but that would empathize with any doubts and worries and reassure them that their feelings were normal. Heidi teamed up with medical writer Arlene Eisenberg, and Sandee Hathaway B.S.N., to write what has become America's pregnancy bible.
With her co-authors, Heidi is a contributing editor for Baby Talk and Parenting magazines, and appears frequently as a pregnancy and parenting expert on television shows such as 20/20, Good Morning America, Today and Oprah. The authors have been profiled in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and dozens of other papers across the country.
